About Rio Holiday

Rio Holiday makes available luxury vacation rentals in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  We have done so since 2004, and have welcomed hundreds of visitors to Rio. Many people are a little worried about visiting a foreign country, especially where they don't speak the language.  We provide a full service to our guests that is designed to take away a lot of the worry and hassle of a vacation to Brazil and leave the customer with only pleasant memories of their trip to South America.

We only rent these houses and provide related services to visitors to Rio.  We are not rental agents or go-betweens.  When you stay with Rio Holiday, your experience is much more like staying at a luxury bed and breakfast or in the home of good friends. 

So What's the Big Idea?

It was on my first trip to South America that I fell in love with Brazil.  The vistas, the beaches, the food, the culture, and most especially the friendly people.  On my second visit, my friends and I wanted to get away from the normal hotel venue at Copacabana and find the perfect Brazilian villa.  We wanted more space, more luxury, more privacy, a better deal, and we wanted a place that was big enough to accommodate all of us.  After finding only a part of what I wanted, I became convinced that there was a need for a first class villa designed specifically for vacationers.  Rio Holiday is the happy result.  We take care of all of the little details so that you can make the most of your vacation.

We have the things that visitors to Brazil expect when it comes to luxury.  For example, our beds all have inner springs, as opposed to typical Brazilian mattresses made of simple foam rubber.  We have English speaking satellite TV, air conditioning, and high speed Internet access, including a PC, so that you can keep up with friends, family, or even work.  We love exotic, but we want things clean, safe, and healthy, so our houses are beautiful neighborhoods with secure access and bottled drinking water.  We have English speaking staff on call 24 hours a day so that you don't have to worry about the language or anything that may come up in the middle of the night. 

We have flexible transportation and meal options that can be optimized for your pleasure and convenience.  We can pick you up at the airport, offer tours around Rio and the vicinity, and can help you shop, see the sights, arrange side trips, or sample the legendary nightlife.  The daunting task of driving in Brazil is ours - all you have to do is relax and enjoy.  We know the best restaurants, but can also arrange for a quiet dinner at home or a barbeque by the pool.
